Welcome to the posthumous living biography of author, Joanna Pierce. This is largely a catalogue of her transcribed journals, featuring episodes and memories. Please note that much of this biography includes Joanna’s own descriptions, and range from vivid and visceral, to confoundingly incomprehensible. As Joanna’s casual written works surface through the sorting of her affairs, our team will continue to deliver the inimitable voice of Joanna Pierce, in the wake of her demise.
As she is known for her disconcerting and erotic works of fiction, take care when reading entries of Joanna’s work. The first entries we’ve selected to release were from handwritten manuscripts, all labeled either “Autobiography” or “Memoire,” we leave you with this brief opening from Joanna herself. It is important to note that she was not a published author at the date of the entry.
Excerpt from an unfinished “Autobiography of Joanna Pierce”:
June 21, 2007
In the deep pool of Joanna Pierce’s mind, a nucleation of fractals emerged into a garden of reflections. At first, shards of imaginative moments broke apart the monotony of her waking life. Then the fractals became a crystalline sea, and as dazzling waves of light kissed the facets, full captivating films were projected onto her outer reality.
Prisms of memory, mythos, wishes, and entanglements shattered the continuity of consensus reality.
She first thought that this brought her to herself, but it often brought her to her knees. On several occasions, it nearly brought her to her death. Then the experience brought her to an awakening: anything is as real as you would like it to be.
The fractals began to reintegrate. They were layered, one on top of the other at all times, as dimensions tend to be.
